The shilling ceremony returns! - June 22, 2013 at the Prince of Wales Tower, 2 - 3 p.m. rain or shine.
The original lease was negotiated with the British Crown by Sir William Young in 1866. The lease was for 999 years, and annual rent was set at one shilling.
