Remembrance Day Ceremony at PPP

Every year members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the public gather at the Sailors Monument (The Halifax Memorial) in Point Pleasant Park to honour and remember the men and women who fought in wartime.

The shores of Point Pleasant Park have often been the place of welcome and farewell for sailors, soldiers, and their families and loved-ones.

The Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place on November 11th, 11 a.m. at the Halifax Memorial in the park.

Tips for attending the ceremony:
  • Dress warmly, bring a water bottle.
  • Allow for a minimum 20 minute walk from parking lots to the Sailors Monument.
  • Bicycles are not allowed in the park on Remembrance Day
  • Please be aware that dogs are not permitted in this area of the park after 10 a.m.
